PENINSULA HEALTH CARE DISTRICT WELLNESS MASTER PLAN

Peninsula Health Care District Wellness Master Plan, Burlingame CA

Pinto Partners+ Partners developed a new state of the art wellness/health care facility for the aging in Burlingame California for the Peninsula Health Care District.  This project will develop range of care facilities that will center on wellness and include day care, 150 senior assisted living units, research and clinics for elder care.  These programs are designed to enhance and expand the health care opportunities currently offered by the District.

This project involved bringing together key experts on aging in place.   Public spaces were designed to create new courtyards so as to help define interactive social settings.   A new community garden will be run by the residents and will serve as an educational classroom for the children who attend the daycare facilities.  All the buildings are currently being designed to LEED Platinum standards.
