MACE RANCH INNOVATION CENTER

Mace Ranch Innovation Center, Davis California

Pinto Partners+ Partners worked closely with Ramco/Buzz Oates Company on the development of 212 acre master plan for a major innovation center in Davis California.  The project involved programming and planning for research and development, prototyping and eventual manufacturing facilities all on the same site.  University agricultural programs, community farms, and a potential Global Food Institute are being proposed to co-exist with the market sector companies, all existing within a new sustainable district.

The Mace Innovation Center will be an area where leading-edge technology institutions cluster and connect with start-ups, businesses incubators, and accelerators as well as the University of California, Davis.  The Center will offer a mix of building types and uses including office, research and development, prototyping, light manufacturing, flex space and support retail.  By including an integrated array of uses at the same site in close proximity, the area will grow into a true center of innovation where “research to market” processes can thrive.
