UC Davis/City of Davis Innovation District
Prakash Pinto was Principal in Charge (while at Perkins&Will) to develop a new 90 acre innovation district with UC Davis and the City of Davis.
The intent is to provide a new center of knowledge and employment in Davis taking full of advantage of the University and its potential to create new incubators. The site is directly adjacent to the campus and the downtown with a proposed mix of residential, research, office, housing and retail. The project is designed to be highly sustainable.
Prakash led the meetings with all the parties and was the key person to present the project to the overall community. Pinto + Partners has been retained by the City of Davis to continue the development of the master plan and the critical public outreach component as this project is subject to a ballot measure.
